Poetry Out Loud Postponed Till Feb. 11th

Due to the weather and the subsequent closing of Amador District-wide schools closed on Monday, February 4th, the new date set for the 2019 Poetry Out Loud local final will be Monday, February 11th, starting promptly at 6:00 pm. It will still be in the Jackson Amador County Library.  Once again, although the event is free, you are asked to register in advance due to space limitation at the library.

Go to www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3919344 to signup.  As a reminder Poetry Out Loud is an effort by high school students on poetry memorization, recitation, and performance.  After the presentations, and while the judges tally their ballots, the audience will be treated to six Pioneer School elementary students reciting poems, as well as Amador Poet Kat Everitt spotlighting some of her works. Refreshments will be served.  To contact AmadorArts, call 209-256-8166 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
