Shaylee Scott Scheduled For Court Today

The daughter of a missing Wilseyville man is scheduled to be in court today for a continued arraignment on felony firearms charges related to violation of her probation.  Shaylee Scott, 25, was initially booked without bail after Calaveras Sheriff’s detectives and a California Department of Justice forensic team searched the Wilseyville home of her father, 66-year-old Marine Corps veteran Shannon Scott, who has been missing since August.  The search warrant was related to possible financial crimes at the residence.  Scott appeared in Calaveras County Superior Court last week and Judge Timothy Healy set bail at $95,000.  Before the bail announcement, Judge Healy told the court, based on Scott’s history, she poses no threat to society to not set bail.  The judge added that the firearm found at the residence was located in a room that Scott shared with her partner.  According to Healy, the “standard” bail amount set in Scott’s case may also be subject to change.  Scott has pleaded not guilty to all charges related to possession of a firearm and ammunition and remains in the custody of the Calaveras County Jail.
