CAL-FIRE Has Been Selected To Partner With The Buena Vista Band Of Mi-Wuk Indians

CAL FIRE has been selected to partner with the Buena Vista Band of Mi-Wuk Indians to provide fulltime staffing for the newly formed Buena Vista Fire Department located in the community of Buena Vista.  This partnership between the Buena Vista Band of Mi-Wuk Indians and CAL FIRE will provide the first 24/7 staffed, Advanced Life Support Fire Engine in Amador County.   By staffing the fire engine with firefighters that are licensed paramedics, personnel will be able to provide patients with advanced life support in the field.   In addition to the Buena Vista Fire Engine being equipped with all the medical equipment and supplies to provide advanced life support it will also have firefighting equipment and a full complement of rescue equipment.  The Buena Vista Fire Department will not only bolster emergency response in the Buena Vista community, but will also participate with other fire agencies in Amador County as a part of the overall closest resource response throughout the surrounding area.  The new Buena Vista Fire Station will be located off Coal Mine Road just west of Buena Vista Road across from the newly constructed casino.
