1,500 Bicyclists' Descended On Amador & Calaveras For The Annual Party Pardee Bicycle Ride

1,500 bicyclists’ descended on Amador and Calaveras County on Saturday for the annual Party Pardee Bicycle Ride. The riders started and ended the day at Howard Park in Ione and continued through Buena Vista, Camp Seco, and Valley Springs, passing by Lake Camanche, New Hogan and Pardee Reservoir on their route. The San Andreas CHP reported a rider passed away along Highway 12, just west of Wallace from apparent natural causes and that no vehicle was involved. Despite CPR efforts and the quick response of CHP, fire and ambulance, the rider lost his fight. The CHP has released no further information as to the riders name or hometown. The incident is under investigation.
