Drainage Culvert Installation To Cause Road Closures In Jackson

Beginning this morning and running thru the late afternoon of Friday the 19th, the State of California Department of Toxic Substance Control and the Environmental Protection Agency are installing a new drainage culvert underneath Argonaut Drive at the base of the Argonaut tailings dam near the intersection with Sutter Street. Argonaut Drive will be closed south of Muldoon Place to Sutter Street. Sutter Street will be closed west of the entrance to Jackson Junior High School to the intersection with Argonaut Drive. No vehicle traffic will be allowed through this area for the entire duration of the project. Closures will remain in affect day and night. Motorists will need to take alternate routes using Hoffman Street from the south and Argonaut Lane from the north. The entrance to Jackson Junior High School will not be impacted by this closure. Again this closure is for today thru Friday, April 19. If you have any questions please call the city of Jackson at 223-1646.
