Wildland Fire Near Fiddletown

Amador county fire crews rolled to a reported wildland fire in the Fiddletown area.  The fire was first reported just before 1:30, off of View Circle and Lode Star. When units arrived they found and escaped control burn and within minutes had it contained to a small 10 x 10 spot.   Cal Fire reminds us, anyone burning must abide by the rules noted on their permit. As the vegetation dries out, it becomes increasingly important that piles are being closely monitored. There are no burn-hour restrictions; however, a transition to night burning may occur as conditions change. Burn permits are available at any Cal Fire station or online at the Cal Fire website.
