American Legion Honors First Responders

Some of Amador County’s finest were honored this past Saturday by the American Legion Ambulance during the annual First Responders Appreciation Dinner and Awards Night. Amador Sheriff’s Deputy Casey Wilson was named Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Sheriff’s Sergeant Adela Place was honored as Correctional Officer of the Year, Janelle Leon as Dispatcher of the Year, and Carla Halford was named Search and Rescue Member of the Year. Many other first responders and hospital staff were also recognized throughout the evening for their contributions to the community for their service.
