Sierra Foothills "Best Of" Wine Awards

The Amador County Fair Commercial Wine Competition “Best Of” Awards winners have just been announced, and Ironstone Vineyard has been named the 2019 Sierra Foothills Winery of the Year. Karmere won best Rhone Varietal, Runquist won best Iberian Varietal, and Nobel Ranch was awarded the best Red Zinfandel in Amador County. Noceto won best Amador Italian Varietal and best Rose with their Rosato di Sangiovese. Jeff Cielo Estate Winery of El Dorado County was awarded Best White Wine. The Best Dessert Wine was the Orange Muscat from Bella Grace Winery. The Best of Show award and Best Red Wine award go to Ironstone Vineyard with their Petit Syrah. All of the winning wines will be available to taste on Friday evening at the Amador County Fair in the last week of July. Tickets to the wine tasting event are available for purchase for $42 at amadorcountyfair.com or $45 at the door.
