Local Law Enforcement Called To Argonaut

Local law enforcement was called onto the Argonaut High Campus Tuesday, responding to the threat of a student with a gun.  According to reports, around 10 Tuesday morning, the Argonaut High School administration received information that an Argonaut High School student indicated to other students while in class that they where in possession of a gun.  The Jackson Police Department was notified and within minutes officers arrived to continue the investigation that was initiated by school administration.  The Jackson PD investigated the situation and determined it was not a credible threat. Responding to the event, Amador School Superintendent Amy Slavensky stressed, student safety is a top priority of the Amador County Unified School District and that the school administration followed the protocol for such an event.  No further details have been released on the incident.
